The mitts pair a cotton shell with a food-grade silicone surface rated to 480°F, which covers standard baking, roasting, and broiling temperatures.

The mitts run long enough to cover the wrist, where most oven burns happen when a forearm brushes a hot rack. The silicone surface grips hot handles without slipping, and the mitts stay flexible enough to close your fingers around a lid knob or a sheet pan edge.
