A handheld digital thermocouple thermometer. The source claims a reading in 2 to 3 seconds with an accuracy of plus or minus 0.9°F, across a range of minus 58°F to 572°F. The thin tip needs only a short insertion to read, which suits steaks, chops, fish fillets, and thin cuts.
The probe rotates out of the body with a dial, so you do not have to touch it, and the same dial folds it back in after use. The probe swings through 225 degrees and the screen rotates automatically, so the display stays readable at any angle and in either hand. The backlit screen turns on without a button press. You can switch between °F and °C, and between 1° and 1.0° resolution.
