The Zyliss Silicone Basting Brush is a kitchen brush from Zyliss, the Swiss kitchenware brand. It is made for the jobs a brush does most: egg wash on pastry, butter on rolls, and marinade or glaze on meat at the grill or in the oven.
Bristles: Silicone, described by Zyliss as heat resistant and non-shedding. Center grid: A grid through the bristle head holds liquid between the bristles, so the brush carries more per dip than a plain bristle head. Handle: Curved to rest on the rim of a bowl or pot, with the bristles up off the counter. Made with wheat straw, which Zyliss says reduces plastic use by up to 20 percent.
